- A trader in Pune is offering the popular Alphonso mangoes on EMI, with a minimum purchase of Rs. 5,000, as prices for the fruit have skyrocketed.
- Gaurav Sanas of Gurukripa Traders and Fruit Products suggested that if refrigerators and air-conditioners can be purchased in installments, then mangoes can be too.
- Customers can use their credit cards to make the purchase, which will then be converted into EMIs of three, six, or twelve months, similar to buying mobile phones in installments.
