- Apple has emerged as the top job creator in India's electronics sector, with nearly 1.5 lakh direct and indirect jobs created by its contract manufacturers and component suppliers.
- This comes after the Centre's production-linked incentive scheme was announced in August 2021.
- Foxconn, Wistron, and Pegatron, the three primary contract manufacturers for Apple's iPhones in India, are responsible for around 60% of the new jobs created.
